Saturday the 19th of February will see Radiohead release their eighth studio album ‘The King Of Limbs’. The band’s official website has a link that simply reads “Thank You For The Wait” which leads to a pre-order page.
This time round the band have gone for a set price, as opposed to the honesty box system that they used for ‘In Rainbows’. UK digital download prices are £6 for a 320k MP3 version and £9 for a CD quality WAV version.
As well as these two digital versions there is to the physical ‘Newspaper Album’ priced at £30/£33 depending on choice of included download.
This version will comprise of…
•Two clear 10″ vinyl records in a purpose-built record sleeve.
•A compact disc.
•Many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together.
•Digital download that is compatible with all good digital media players.
•The Newspaper Album will be shipped on Monday 9th May 2011 you can, however, enjoy the download on Saturday 19th February 2011.
•One lucky owner of the digital version of The King Of Limbs, purchased from the official website, will receive a signed 2 track 12″ vinyl.
